— Watch night service

Daughter of Zion will conduct a watch night service at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. Several ministers will bid the old year good-bye and welcome the new year. Breakfast will be served.

Gospel Fest

The St. James CME Senior Choir will host the second Gospel Fest at 6 p.m. Saturday at the church in Pavo.

Women’s conference

Bellview AME Church, 1802 Lower Boston Road, off U.S. 19 South, will host the South Georgia Conference Women’s Missionary Society gala affair at noon Saturday.

Christmas program

First Missionary Baptist Church of Barwick will conduct a Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Youth will recite speeches, and a dance team will perform. Kevin Edwards Sr. will sing. The “Best Christmas Ever” skit, written by Carolyn Wolfe, will be the finale.

The Pleasant Hill CME Church Youth Choir Department will present a Christmas program at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Anniversary

Clifford Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 510 Lester St., will celebrate the church’s 106th anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday. The speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Vanessee Burns, pastor of Carter Tabernacle CME Church at Orlando, Fla., and a former Clifford Temple member.

Installation

Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, Pavo, will conduct an installation service for church Pastor Freddie James Turner at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Christmas concert

Concert-baritone Pastor Corey L. King Sr. and Cathy Scott, gospel jazz recording artist, will appear from 8 to 9:30 Saturday at Restoration Tabernacle Ministries, 1002 N. Broad St. A photographer will be available for Christmas photos. A reception will follow the appearance.
