— Breakfast

Family & Friends Full Gospel Baptist Church, 400 Colton Ave., Sister Natasha Fann-Gibson and the Women’s Department are sponsoring a Spiritual Medicine for the Mind, Body and Soul Fellowship Breakfast at 10 a.m., Saturday.

The guest speaker is Elder Linda A. Bradley, senior pastor at The Zion Christian Outreach Ministry.



Homecoming

Bold Springs United Methodist Church is holding homecoming services at 11 a.m., Sunday.

Church pastor Charles (Buddy) Whatley is the speaker and Vickie Lynn Andrews will be singing. A covered dish lunch follows.



Clean up day

New Generation Christian Center Ministries of Thomas County members have designated Saturday as clean up day at the 119 Bartow St. site beginning at 8 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to help clean up the rubbish from the collapsed roof.

Speakers

Daughters of Zion Bible Center Ministry are holding services at 5:30 p.m., Sunday with speakers Minister Angela Tillman, Lula K. Graham, Jackie Isaacs and Athena Edward.

Celebration

Pavo Baptist Church is celebrating its 113th year at 11 a.m., Sunday.

Former church pastor, the Rev. Carl Dunn is the speaker. Sunday school begins at 10. A covered dish lunch follows with no evening worship, according to church pastor the Rev. Timothy C. VanLandingham.

Revival

First Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1400 Magnolia St., is holding a revival series Truth for Today, Hope for Tomorrow beginning Saturday through Oct. 19. The event  is held nightly at 7 with no meetings on Thursdays. The speaker is Mae McKinney.

Homecoming

Springhill Christian Church is holding homecoming at 11 a.m., Oct. 13. The speaker is the Rev. Herschel Collins. There will be a covered dish lunch after the service followed by a gospel sing featuring Midnight Rain formerly the Gandy Brothers.

Celebrations

The members  of Junior and Senior Usher Boards of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church are celebrating their anniversaries at 3 p.m., Sunday. The speaker is the Rev. Peter Augusta III of Cairo.

The church congregation will celebrate the church’s 143rd anniversary beginning at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday and concluding at 11 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 13.
