The Women's Ministry of New Generation Christian Center will be having its 2014 Women's Conference this weekend.

It begins at 7 p.m. today with Pastor Dianna Cooney and Word to the World Ministries in charge of the service. The conference will continue on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. with a workshop. Speakers for the workshop is Pastor Geneva Scott-King of Restoration Tabernacle Ministries of Thomasville, Lady Tellesia Gilley of St. Matthew M.B. Church in Donalsonville and Pastor Bessie Clark of Open Arms Ministries of Thomasville.

A special skit will be presented by the Youth Ministry of New Generation.

The church is located at 1217 Old Albany Rd.

Faith Temple Church, 231 Legion Blvd. S.E., Cairo, is holding a Friends and Family Day at 11 a.m., Sunday. Pastor Ambers Glenn Jr. is the speaker.


The Southern Gospel group, LifeSong, will be in concert at 6 p.m., Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church.


Restoration Outreach Family Worship Center is holding a gospel sing at the old Pelham High School Auditorium on Burum Street in Pelham located behind the Boys & Girls Club at 2 p.m., Saturday.


Restoration Outreach Ministries, 91 Midway Rd., Thomasville at 7 p.m., today is holding an intercession in prayer.

Special day

Clifford Temple CME Church is holding an old-fashion day at 10:45 a.m., Sunday. The speaker is the Rev. Ananias Hopkins and guest choir is Aucilla M.B. Church.


Saint John AME Church of Boston is holding a dress down church service day at 11 a.m., Sunday. The Rev. James D.S. Vance is the speaker.


Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church is celebrating its 134th anniversary. On Monday, the Rev. T.C. Mitchell and Bethel Missionary Baptist Church is in charge and on Tuesday is the Rev. Curnell Henry and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church is charge. Services start at 7:30 p.m.
