Lassac C.M.E. Church located on Parramore Fishpond Road will observe its annual Women’s Day program.  Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday and the speaker is Evangelist Arlean Morrow.  The theme is Favor With The King.


Glad Tidings Assembly is holding revival with the Rev. John Loper beginning at 6 p.m., Sunday and 7 p.m., Monday through Wednesday.


Friendship M.B. Church is celebrating its deacons and deaconess anniversary at 2 p.m., Sunday. The guest church is St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church of Miccosukee, Fla.

Saint Mark AME Church, 700 Lester St., is holding revival at 7 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. The speaker is Pastor Anton Elwood of New Mount Zion AME Church, Tallahassee, Fla.


St. Luke CME Church, 305 Chatham Drive, Thomasville, is celebrating its 145th anniversary at 10 a.m., Sunday. The speaker is the Rev. Cedrick Boyd, pastor of St. James CME Church in Boston, Bethel CME Church in Leary and Holsey Chapel CME Church in Arlington. Dinner will be served.

Daughter of Zion Bible Center Ministry is holding family and friends day at 4 p.m., Sunday. The speaker is Easton Tillman.


Antioch M.B. Church in Metcalf is celebrating its 138th anniversary at 3 p.m., Sunday. The guest church is Antioch Baptist Church of Quincy, Fla. and the speaker is the Rev. Nathaniel Trumpet.


Family & Friends Full Gospel Baptist Church is holding an evening of praise at 6:30 p.m., Saturday.


Troubled Souls Ministry is holding an empowerment luncheon at 11 a.m., March 22 at 1425 E. Jackson St. Suite M. The speaker is Pastor Nicky Yarborough Collins. Tickets are $10.

New Oak Grove M.B. Church is celebrating its pastor’s, the Rev. Dr. James Redmon, 11th anniversary at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday through March 21 and ending at 11:30 a.m., March 23.

In charge are on Wednesday is Bethel M.B. Church, Thursday is Mt. Moriah M.B. Church of Boston and Friday is Richland M.B. Church of Boston.

On March 23  is East Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Woodville, Fla.

Concert in Madison

LifeSong and Chapel Road will be live in concert on Saturday for a great evening of Southern gospel music. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. at Bible Deliverance Church in Madison, Fla. Admission is free. However, a love offering will be received during the concert.

LifeSong is based out of Madison and is comprised of: Bryant Thigpen, Ethan Brooks and Jessica Ratliff. Brooks is from Thomasville and attends First Newark Baptist Church.

During its first year of ministry, the group enjoyed much success, signing with national label Lamp Music Group. The trio was featured on and during the signing and release of their project, “Brand New Start.” Their first release to radio, "Sounds Like Heaven," featured the distinguished voice of living legend, Naomi Sego Reader, who was a special guest vocalist on the recording. 

Since then, the group has released two projects, “Never Alone,” and “Everyday Faith,” which have reached the hearts of all listeners.
