The Valdosta District Meeting will be held at St. Paul’s Temple COGIC in Coolidge Monday through May 17. All services will start at 7:30 p.m. and 11 a.m., May 17. It is hosted by Superintendent Paul E. Hayes II.
On Monday, all musical choirs will be featured; at 10 a.m., Tuesday is district missionary Janice Hayes speaking and that evening the Valdosta District Women’s Choir will be in concert. Bishop J.W. Legett is speaking on Wednesday. Valdosta district churches will be in charge on Thursday. At 10 a.m., May 16, is a picnic and that evening is youth night. On May 17, Hayes will be honored.

Willow Head M.B. Church is holding revival at 7 p.m., May 28-30. The revivalist for the week is Rev. O’Hara C. Black of Orlando, Fla.
Lassac C.M.E. Church located on Parramore Fishpond Road, Boston, is celebrating its 134th church anniversary at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday and at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 18. Various churches will be in charge of services. The events are open to the public.
Faith Temple Church, 231 Legions Blvd. S.E., Cairo is holding a health screening from 8 a.m. to noon, May 17 sponsored by Archbold Hospital. Some of the screenings offered are lipid profile, glucose, blood pressure/pulse, renal panel and urinalysis.
At 3 p.m., May 18 is Women’s Day and the speaker is First Lady Lutherine Glenn Young of Vision for Souls Ministry, Atlanta. The theme is Striving to become an anointed woman of God.

Springhill Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating its annual Women’s and Men’s day on Sunday, May 25, with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. At 11, Women’s’ Day Celebration begins with Sister Bobbie Jones Marcus, President of the Second District Women’s Division General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia Inc. An Agape dinner will be served immediately afterwards.
