Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Boston is celebrating its pastor’s, the Rev. Norman Clary, fifth anniversary. The event is 7 p.m. Wednesday through Dec. 6 with it concluding at 2:30 p.m., on Dec. 8.

The speaker is the Rev. James Redman on Wednesday. On Thursday is the Rev. Quinn Choice and Dec. 6 the speaker is the Rev. Horace Holloway. On Dec. 8, the speaker is the Rev. Charlie Ross.

Special service

The Thomas County Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance  is observing World AIDS Day at 5 p.m., Sunday at Bethany Congregational United Church of Christ. The program is Shared Responsibility: Strengthening Results for an AIDS-Free Generation.

‘Soap Operas for God’

Daughter of Zion Bible Ministry will present “The Soap Operats for God on Sunday at 5 p.m. The event will feature several speakers and door prizes will be given.
