Friends, Family Day

Faith Temple Church, 231 Legion Blvd., Cairo, will conduct Friends and Family Day Sunday, June 29, at 11 a.m.

Gospel concert

A gospel concert featuring the Harper Trio, of Pelham, is at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Ochlocknee Baptist Church on Railroad Street in Ochlocknee.


Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate an anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Pleasant Grove events

The Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Senior Choir in Ochlocknee will observe the annual choir anniversary at 6 p.m. Saturday. The church will conduct Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, with a Jungle Safari theme. Classes are for pre-K through adult.

Old-fashion revival

Annual old-fashioned revival services are at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 1215 Magnolia St., Monday through Wednesday, at 7 p.m. daily. Guest evangelist is the Rev. J.H. Flakes III, senior pastor at Fourth Street Baptist Church in Columbus.

Honors program

An honors program/banquet honoring the Rev. Dr. Earl Williams Jr. to celebrate the man, his work and his pilgrimage is at 3 p.m. Sunday at Receptions for You on West Jackson Street.

Rainbow Tea

Clifford Temple C.M.E. Church’s annual Rainbow Tea program is at 4 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker is the Rev. Jermaine Simmons, of Tallahassee, Fla.

Deacon service

Brother Stanley Sneed will be ordained as a deacon at Cedar Hill Church at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Church revival

The annual Aucilla M.B. Church revival is Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. daily. The evangelist is Pastor Horace Holloway of Crosssroad Christian Center. Various choirs will render music.
