The Meigs Country Hoedown is every Friday in the Meigs Community Building across from the post office. Gospel singing starts at 7:30 p.m. and ine dancing is from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. There is a variety of bands and singers. Soft drinks, coffee and snacks are available; no smoking or alcoholic beverages.

A parent educator is available to help parents learn effective methods of communication and discipline as well as how to take care of themselves while caring for children.
