Organic Market starts Thursday

Staff report

THOMASVILLE — Downtown Thomasville Main Street is starting a new market.

Every Thursday, starting this Thursday, it will have an Organic Market.

Alison Wilson, Main Street Coordinator, said there has been a need for area merchants to purchase organics at a local venue.

She said the idea stemmed from this and has been backed by locals.

At least five vendors should be set up for the first event.

This is in conjunction with the monthly Green Market (another one this Saturday at corner of West Jackson/Stevens streets from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), but is strictly organics.

It is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the breezeway at Thomasville Visitor’s Center, 144 E. Jackson St.
