Tax information meeting tonight

— THOMASVILLE — A public information meeting about the 2008 countywide revaluation is tonight at Thomas County Emergency Services Center, 1202 Remington Ave.
The 7 o’clock meeting, which is open to all property owners, is to be conducted by the Thomas County Board of Tax Assessors.
Topics to be covered include reasons for and advantages of a revaluation and how property value is estimated.
Approaches to market value and the difference between mass-appraising and fee-appraising also will be discussed.
A 10-minute video, “Property Taxes Investment in You Community,” will be shown.
