Citizens’ complaints lead to cocaine stash

Patti Dozier

THOMASVILLE — A man charged with a felony cocaine offense kept his stash in a flower pot hanging from a tree limb over the bench where narcotics agents first encountered the suspect, according to the narcotics/vice chief.

Tyjuan White, 34, 17120 U.S. 319 North, was sitting on a bench at 209 Teddy St., when Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division agents arrived to follow up on information provided by citizens and sources.

Executing a search warrant, officers found Christopher Crumbry, 33, a resident at the house, standing on a bed with his arm extended from a window.

“It appeared he was throwing something,” said Kevin Lee, division commander.

Agents returned outside and found a bag containing numerous pieces on crack cocaine in the hanging flower pot. Beneath the window through which Crumbry’s arm was extended agents found two bags containing numerous pieces of crack cocaine.

Both men were charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute.

The same scenario was taking place in the 500 block of Pine Street: Neighbors and sources reported sales of marijuana and crack cocaine.

Agents were told that Macon Mango, 25, 1325 Warners Drive, among others, were selling drugs at the house.

With the residence under surveillance, officers saw Mango walk to the rear of the dwelling and reach under the house and conceal or retrieve something.

Agents approached the house later from a wooded area and found Mango, Dajon Darnell Bouldin Jr., 20, 110 E. Webster St., and a juvenile sitting on the front porch.

“Bouldin and Mango tried to run,” Lee said. “Mango was apprehended. Several bags of marijuana were on his person. A sandwich bag of cocaine was also found on his person.”

Bouldin was located a short time later walking along a nearby street. Agents found a bag of marijuana on the street where the suspect stood. A number of smaller bags of pot were found on the porch.

Under the house, officers found a bag of crack cocaine and a bag of marijuana on a concrete block.

Mango, who is on probation for a drug conviction, and Bouldin are charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute and marijuana possession with intent to distribute.

Bouldin also is charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession and obstruction of an officer by fleeing.
