Entries are being accepted for Boston’s Christmas parade at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 5. To register, call Danny Groover at 498-4065.

Competition

As a part of the Christmas in Boston weekend, Boston residents and businesses may participate in a decorating competition. Winners are selected by a committee of outside judges in three categories of residence, business, and churches. You must pre-register no later than noon, Thursday Dec. 4 to be considered in the judging which will take place Friday afternoon, Dec. 5; pre-register by calling city hall at 498-6743. Winners will be announced during the tree lighting in Watt Park.

Southwest Georgia Technical College is offering workplace Spanish beginning in January.

The course will be instructed by David Reckford and will cover basic terms and phrases which allow for easier communications between employees, colleagues, and customers.
