Dawson Street United Methodist Church is holding Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 29 through Friday, Aug. 1 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2. It is for ages three to 12 and a snack supper will be provided.

Anniversary

Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church members are celebrating their pastor’s, the Rev. James Thompson, eighth anniversary at 11 a.m., July 27. The speaker is the Rev. Jackie Hargrow.

Special day

Glasgow AME Church is holding family and friends day at 11 a.m., Sunday. The Rev. Racael Carter, pastor of Rocky Hill AME Church is the speaker. Dinner follows.

Anniversary

Mt. Olive P.B. Church is celebrating its mother and deacon board anniversary at 3 p.m., Sunday. The Rev. T.C. Mitchell and Friendship M.B. Church is in charge. Brother Stanley DuPont is the guest instrumentalist. Dinner follows.

Dinner

St. Thomas AME Church is holding a fish, fries and barbecue sandwich sale from 6:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday at the  parsonage.

Meeting

Thomasville Missionary Baptist Association is holding Sunday school and BTU Congress at First Missionary Baptist Church at 7 p.m. today and Saturday.

Revival

Word to the World Ministry, 1425 E. Jackson St.,  is holding revival at 7 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. The speaker is Evangelist Gwendolyn Smallwood.

Outreach

New Generation Christian Center, 1217 Old Albany Rd., is holding an outreach day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday.

There will be free clothes and other items, a manna drop, prayer tent and skits.
