Rant & Rave for Dec. 20

“I would like to thank the residents of Cherokee Circle for their wonderful job of decorating this year.”

“Now you are worried about the color of Santa Claus? Is that racist, or what?”

“I am not affiliated with Central in any way and I am not a sports fan. However, it seems that this business of long-distance games is an undue hardship on teachers, students, parents and taxpayers. Central would be within its rights to refuse to make these long trips. This could start a trend of standing up to authority, which could extend all the way to Washington, D.C. Maybe we should try that for a change and see if someone won’t listen to some sense.”

“Central should play in Class AAAAAA and shut up.”

“Stop busing students in from the city and the county wouldn't have these classification issues! I have a very big issue with my tax dollars going to all this legal junk just cause TCC doesn't want to play schools that they can't run over.”

“Only five months? Nearly half a year? There are things to do besides worshipping a game. If you are married, spend some quality time with your spouse talking without the TV on. If you have kids, take them for a nature walk or spend time with them doing what they want. Volunteer with a community-based organization. Read a good book. It will enrich your mind much more than watching football. Need more? I could go on all day.”

Does it bother you that the Thomasville-Thomas County Central football game won't be played for at least the next two years?
