Voter registration deadline April 21

THOMASVILLE —

Monday is the last day to register to vote in the Tuesday, May 20 primary election.

“Voter registration is easier than ever,” said Walter Mays, Thomas County elections/voter registration supervisor.

Thomas County citizens can now register to vote online by going to www.sos.ga.gov. A citizen with a valid driver's license issued by Georgia Department of Drivers service (DDS) or identification card with signature on file with DDS should navigate to the elections page and click on the Register To Vote box and be directed to online voter registration.

Citizens also may register at the elections office at the Thomas County Judicial Center, 325 N. Madison St.

Early voting starts Monday, April 28, at the elections office.

Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, in Thomasville. Early voting ends Friday, May 16.

Those unable to vote early or on election day may request an absentee ballot in writing or in person at the elections office.
