Canine foster care homes sought
The Best Friends Dog Rescue in Grady County is currently seeking foster homes to help reduce the number of dogs who are euthanized on a weekly basis in the community. Laurie Deese, the owner of the rescue service, is working with the Grady County Animal Control department to put stray dogs and puppies in foster care instead of being euthanized. When animal control officers pick up a stray dog, the owners have three days to claim the animal before the decision will be made to dispose of the animals. After this period, the Best Friends Dog Rescue hopes to place these strays in foster homes around Grady County. if you are interested in offering a temporary home for one of these animals, contact Deese at 377-1538.
