The body found off U.S. 319 North is believed to be Michael Gill, 51, 308 Red Bug Lane, Coolidge.
“He’d been missing since Wednesday afternoon,” Lt. Tim Watkins, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office chief investigator, said Monday.
While a deputy responded to the missing person report, the sheriff’s office received a call about a body being found where Gill was last seen.
Said Watkins, “A body had been found in a woodline.”
Max Gill, the missing man’s brother, told officers he was mowing a field and found the body wearing the same clothing his brother had on when he was reported missing.
Watkins said Michael Gill had been staying with his brother and the brother’s girlfriend at the Red Bug Lane address.

Based on the clothing and identification found on the body, investigators believe it is Michael Gill, a laborer, who was last seen about 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Foul play is not suspected. The cause of death has not been determined.
“The autopsy will tell us that,” said Watkins, adding that the deceased man had some medical conditions.
Gill was reported missing three weeks ago. He was found at a Thomasville RV park.
