THOMASVILLE —  Archbold’s VNA of Southwest Georgia was recently named to HomeCare Elite’s list of Top 100 home health agencies, a prestigious compilation of top-performing home health agencies in the United States.

The national listing was based on publically reported data from Home Health Compare and CMS (The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid). The five domains of performance analyzed included quality of care, quality improvement and consistency, patient experience (HHCAHPS), process measure implementation and financial performance.

According to HomeCare Elite, agency performance in each of the domains was compared against the performance of other organizations in their state and nationwide (including U.S. territories). The domains were combined into one overall score, using a weighting methodology that gives the greatest importance to quality of care. The top 25 percent of agencies in each region were identified and added to the national list. Plus, the top 100 and 500 agencies in the nation were recognized based on overall score.

“The Archbold VNA staff is truly honored to be recognized for our staff’s dedication to providing our patients excellent quality healthcare in their home,” said Amy Ferry, administrator of VNA of Southwest Georgia. “Not only were we recognized in the top 25 percent of home health agencies in our region for our quality scores, we were also named as a top 100 home health agency in the United States. To be recognized among the top home health agencies in the nation for the high quality care we provide and for our positive patient outcomes is a testament to the caliber of home health service we offer patients throughout the region.”
