THOMASVILLE — Archbold named Roger Pierce, RN, as the 2013 Employee of the Year during the organization’s annual employee appreciation picnic held recently on the front lawn of the hospital.

Pierce began his tenure with the Archbold system in 2004 at Archbold’s Northside Center for Behavioral Health and Psychiatric Care, where he worked as a Unit Secretary.  While working at Northside, Pierce was awarded a scholarship through the Archbold Foundation’s scholarship program, a program that awards money to students in the region and Archbold employees pursuing an education in a healthcare-related field.

After earning an associate’s degree in nursing from Southwest Georgia Technical College, Pierce transferred to Archbold Home Health Services where he now works as a clinical coordinator.

Pierce was named Archbold’s Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2013 and was one of 16 employees eligible to win the Employee of the Year award.

“Roger is a great team player, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure his patients are receiving the best possible care,” said Clay Campbell, president of Archbold Health Services.  “He truly exemplifies everything we are looking for in an employee and we are honored to name him Archbold’s Employee of the Year.”
