Police department corrects shooting information

THOMASVILLE — Lt. Eric Hampton, Thomasville Police Department public information officer, said incorrect information was provided about a Hopkins Street shooting that took place a week ago. The victim was struck once and was not involved in an altercation with the suspect. The victim was a bystander. The Hopkins Street shooting was not connected with the shooting that took place Tuesday in the 400 block of North Broad Street.
