DAR Christmas tea is Wednesday

THOMASVILLE — The Grimsley family is putting the last touches of Christmas decorations on its beautiful home for the upcoming Daughters of the American Revolution Tea. The front room, better known as the parlor, has a stately tree and the fireplace mantel and surround is adorned with greenery. The tree is one of many throughout the house. The tea is 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, at 1105 Gordon Ave. Tickets cost $10 per person. The money will be used to provide a local scholarship from the Thomasville DAR chapter. Tickets may be purchased from any DAR member and at the door.
