Authorities seeking sex offender

THOMASVILLE — Thomas County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a convicted sex offender.

John Wesley Sharp Jr., the offender, moved from the community without notifying the sheriff’s office, the agency tasked with monitoring his wherabouts.

When a convicted sex offender leaves a community in which he or she is registered, the individual is required to inform the local sheriff’s office of a new address.

Sharp is described as a black male, 6-foot-4 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds.

His last known address was 404 W. Calhoun St.

Anyone with information about Sharp is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 225-3300 or 225-4151.
