Pelham man charged in incident at Central

THOMASVILLE — A 20-year-old Pelham man was arrested in connection with an incident  at Thomas County Central High School.

Levi Willis is charged with possessing a weapon, a knife, on the campus.

Willis was on campus after school hours to visit a friend who worked at the school, said Capt. Steven Jones, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.

The incident was reported by staff to the school resource officer, who referred the case to the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigations Division.

Willis is being held at the Thomas County Jail.

The investigation of the incident continues.
