TU accounting professor discusses tax issues at FSU

THOMASVILLE — Dr. Alison Riley, an associate professor in the Division of Business at Thomas University, made two presentation at Florida State University on March 28. Riley makes the presentations each year at FSU.

 Riley’s first presentation was to FSU students and faculty members who are U.S. citizens and resident aliens. The presentation covered U.S. disclosures for foreign financial assets. The second presentation was for international faculty and students about how to file federal income taxes if one is a nonresident alien.

 Riley, who teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting at Thomas University, is also a Certified Public Accountant who is often called upon for her expertise dealing with international tax issues.
