Garden club to hold luncheon

THOMASVILLE — If visiting the flower show or rose show this last weekend was inspiring, then the members of the Thomasville Garden Club may have an event worth checking out.  The Garden Club will hold its annual membership luncheon noon, Wednesday,  at the Garden Center, located at 1102 S. Broad Str.

Explains Jane Delarber, membership chair, ":This is a time for anyone who is interested in learning more about joining a garden club to come and see what we do and how they might join one of our four clubs."

The Thomasville Garden Club was founded in 1914 and has four clubs-Briarcliff, Lady Banks, Killarney Queen and Rambler Rose.  The Lady Banks club formed this past year and all of the clubs are interested in growing.  The Clubs are affiliated with the National Garden Club, Inc , Deep South Region, and the Garden Club of Georgia, Camellia District.

The current  members are asked to bring a covered dish for the lunch.  The program will feature a review of the year's activities and introductions of new members who joined a club during the year.

For more information or to accept an invitation to the lunch, contact Jane Delarber at 226-4708.
