Toilet paper thief makes clean getaway

THOMASVILLE — Surveillance from the Business Exchange, 125 N. Broad St., shows a man making off with a clear, plastic garbage bag containing 30 rolls of toilet paper.

And it is not the first time toilet paper has been missing from the building.

Surveillance video taken on the third floor shows a man entering from a stairwell and walking from one side of the hall to the other numerous times.

The janitor told police toilet paper has been stolen other times, but this is the first time it was reported to police.

Food has been taken from the kitchen. Aerosol spray and soap is missing from restrooms.

A man seen on surveillance video from an earlier date appears to be the same person making off with the toilet paper.

It is believed the phantom individual in the video might be homeless, according to a Thomasville Police Department incident report.
