THOMASVILLE — It pays to be kind, well at least it did for Lekesha Miller. Miller is $5,000 richer after winning a Flowers Automotive Group promotion.

This Christmas, Miller and her family decided to focus less on exchanging presents with each other. Instead, they spent their time and money making Christmas special for those who needed it most.

It seems that doing good for the community paid off for Miller.

During October, November and December, Flowers Automotive Group allowed guests who took a car on a test drive to enter to win $5,000.

“I went out shopping with my sister, and we went to Flowers Honda,” Lekesha Miller said. “I test drove an Accord, and then Conrad, the sales representative, told me about the raffle. I decided to give it a shot.”

Miller had completely forgotten about the promotion when she received a phone call.

“I really thought they were playing with me,” Miller said. “I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe I had won the money.”

Miller plans to put away most of the money, but first she plans on doing one thing with it.

“I am going to take care of my church tithes,” Miller said.

Flowers Automotive Group picked another winner in September.

“I am blessed and highly favored,” Miller said. “This truly is blessing. Thank you David Flowers and Flowers Auto Group, and thank you to my salesperson, Conrad Wood, for entering me in the drawing.”
