Staff report

THOMASVILLE — Police found a stolen wallet in a business restroom trash can after watching a store video.

The video showed a male described by a woman whose vehicle had been entered.

The suspect, Brandon Terrell Williams, 17, 218 E. Monroe St., was taken into custody and charged with entering auto. Williams is being held in the Thomas County Jail on a $3,100 bond.

About 5 p.m. Friday, police responded to a business in the 2400 block of East Pine Tree Boulevard, where a woman told officers someone entered her vehicle and took a wallet. The woman told police she had seen two males with backpacks and skateboards walking through the parking lot and provided a description of the individuals.

Officers found the two males at a nearby park. The males denied any involvement in the incident.

Watching video from another business, an officer saw one of the males enter and leave the store restroom.

After finding the wallet and its contents in the restroom trash can, officers took Williams into custody.
