Carolyn Louella House



Funeral services for Carolyn Louella House, 75, formerly of Thomasville are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Pullen will officiate, and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. House died May 9 at Gordon County Hospital in Calhoun, Ga. Born Nov. 26, 1932, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Jewel Barnes of Boston. She was married to the late Clifford House of Boston. She was a member of First Newark Baptist Church in Thomasville. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Potter and son-in-law Gene Potter of Calhoun; three grandsons, Jason Potter and wife Jennifer of Rome, Joshua Potter, and Jeremy Potter of Calhoun; three great-grandchildren, Britany, Hope and Chance Potter, all of Rome; her sister, Betty King of Thomasville; and brother Jack Barnes of Marietta; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two children, a son, Steven House, and a daughter, Gale Tillman. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. — Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home
