Geneva Plymel Bruce



Services for Geneva Plymel Bruce, 90, of Moultrie, are at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Hopewell Baptist Church. The Rev. Lonnie Gibson will officiate and interment follows in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers are Tony Norman, David Norman, Steve Weekley, Kenneth Weekley, Will Pierce and Rick Clements. Mrs. Bruce died Thursday, May 15, at her residence. Born Jan. 24, 1918, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late George Wesley Plymel and Florence Hall Plymel. Mrs. Bruce was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Dennis Bruce of Moultrie; four daughters, Linda Norman and husband Mallie of Moultrie, Connie Heath of Gray, Deborah Pierce and husband Ray of Coolidge, Janet Crammer and husband Bobby of Lizella.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Clay Bruce; one brother, Mitchell Plymel; four sisters, Tessie Mercer, Bonnie Hamilton, Ruby Milam and Oree Milam. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 443 Weathers Rd., Moultrie. — Cobb Funeral Chapel
