Louise B. Laster (Ms. Sis)



Services for Louise B. Laster (Ms. Sis), 101, of Thomasville, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark AME Church. The Rev. E. X. King will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Antonio Lovett, Clarence Miller, Quinton Addison, Demario Hatch, Travion Clark and Bobby Spencer. Laster, born Dec. 24, 1906, to the late Coody Braswell and Pat Lizie Tripp, was a life-long resident of Thomasville. She married Will Laster, who preceded her in death, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Laster was a member of St. Mark AME Church. She died May 15, 2008, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Survivors include daughter, Mildred Petty of Thomasville; grandsons, Robert Petty, Christopher Knight, Hillmar Patterson, Glen Knight (Janie), and John L. Knight (Beatrice), all of Thomasville, and Bernard Knight of Oklahoma; granddaughters, Jewel D. Wilson of Thomasville and Katrina Lee (John Henry) of Monticello; great-grandchildren, Shanta Ivey, Shannon Patterson, Herman Wilson Jr., Glen Knight Jr. (Alonda), Selissa Knight and Devonte Knight, all of Thomasville, and John Henry Lee (Netiea) of Monticello; great-great-grandchildren, Semaj Ali Floyd, Nezandriana Lee, Jaqueyon Lee, Jamarion Coleman, Jaylin Mills, Dennis Mills and Italia Knight; special nephew, Henry (Duke) Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.; and, a host of great nieces and nephews. Visitation is 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The remains will lie instate from noon until the funeral hour Tuesday at the church. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
