Services for Oscar Benjie King, Jr., 48, of Ochlocknee are 2 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Pastor Mack Luke will officiate and interment is in Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ray Taylor, Tony Thompson, Jason Owens, Ronnie Barnwell, Michael Dees, Reagan Moon and Daniel Myers. Honorary pallbearers are Ben Force, Norman Parrish, Danny Crosby, Mickey Miller, Ed Lowe, Nelson Caviness, Phil Clay, Roger King, Ricky Braswell, Buddy Powers, David Theobald and Michael Clanton. Mr. King died July 2, at his residence. Born May 21, 1961, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Oscar B. King Sr., and Wanda Misso King Blackburn, who survives. On Dec. 20, 1980, in Thomasville he married Brenda Hicks King, who survives. Mr. King was a veteran of the United States Air Force, the parts manager for Flowers Baking Company and a member of New Growth Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Sean Anderson; daughter & son-in-law, Angie and Jamey Hopkins; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kaitlin, all of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Will Hopkins, Douglas Hopkins, Ashton Anderson, Kristen Anderson; sisters, Cindy King, Donna King Ansley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug Hicks Jr., and Glenda, all of Thomasville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anita and Steve Pruitt of Covington; nieces and nephews, Aly and Brandy Joslin, Bobby and Alisha Griner, Chance and Brittany Ansley, Jessica Brooks, Brittany Pruitt, Christie Barfield, Nikki Haney; great-nieces and nephews, Gareth and Haleigh Joslin, Macey Griner, Gavin and Kade Brooks; and one great-great-nephew, Holton Ansley. Donations may be made to New Growth Baptist Church Building Fund, 3890 County Line Rd., Thomasville Ga. 31792.
