Art Hurtado



Services for Art Hurtado, 61, of Monticello, Fla., are at 10 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2008, at Waukeenah United Methodist Church in Waukeenah. Interment follows in Waukeenah Cemetery. Mr. Hurtado died Tuesday, July 23 in Thomasville. He was a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, and had lived in Monticello most of his life. He was a graduate of Jefferson County High School, was employed with Florida Power Corporation for 37 years, a member of the Brotherhood System Council, U-8 and officer of Sub-Local for Monticello No. 6822 and a member of Jefferson County Country Club where he was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Angela Hurtado of Monticello; two sons, Dan (Heather) Hurtado of Tallahassee, Fla., Justin Bradley (Nikki) of Monticello; a daughter, Sylvia (Kevin) Guidry of Monticello; three brothers, Victor Paul “Vic” (Joann) Hurtado of Monticello, Hank Rogers of Thomasville, Keith (Kim) Hertado of Tallahassee; five grandchildren, J.T. Ward, Daniel Ward, Seth Hertado, Jackson Bradley and Ivy Hurtado. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waukeenah Church Cemetery Fund, 81 Methodist Church Rd., Waukeenah, Fla. 32344. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. — Beggs Funeral Home Monticello Chapel
