Eunice Elizabeth Dolphus
Services for Eunice Elizabeth Dolphus, 86, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Aug. 29, 2008, at Richland Missionary Baptist Church in Boston. The Rev. Henry L. Mathis, church pastor, will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville. Active pallbearers are Kelvin Dean, Joel Dean, Trenton Bleckley, Kendrick Wynn, Bryan King and Alonzo Lewis. Mrs. Dolphus died Aug. 22 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home. Born Aug. 13, 1922, in Swainsboro, she was a daughter of the late Lester Lewis and Ellen Shivers. On June 27, 1951, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, she married Walter Scott Dolphus. She attended St. Lucre County schools and Lincoln Park Academy. She was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, member of National Recreation Association and member of Girl Scout movement. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Annette Bryant (Wesley) of Boston; daughter, Deborah King of Boca Raton, Fla.; grandsons, Thomas Dean of Atlanta, Kelvin Dean of Lake Worth, Fla.; granddaughter, Sharvonne Dean of Greenville, Fla.; granddaughter and her husband, Tammy Mills (Dennis) of Tallahassee, Fla.; granddaughter, Kimberly Bryant of Boston; granddaughter and her husband, Bridget Cleckley (Trenton) of Delray Beach, Fla.; and grandson, Bryan King of Port St. Lucie, Fla. The viewing is from 2 to 8:30 p.m., today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m., until the funeral hour at the church Friday with no viewing after the eulogy. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
