Services for Marie Glenn O’Neal of Thomasville are at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Eagles Nest Deliverance Tabernacle, 120 Persimmon St. Pastor Vinnie Peterson will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Donnie Davis, Greg Davis, J.B. Allen, Kenneth Smith, Shelton Brown and Chris Brooks. Mrs. O’Neal died June 15 at Archbold Hospital. Born Aug. 15, 1939, in Thomas County, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Marie Blankumsee Glenn. She was married to Peter O’Neal. She attended the Thomas County School System and graduated from Magnolia High School. She was a praise and worship leader for more than 38 years at her church, she was a church mother and served in many other capacities at Eagles Nest Deliverance Tabernacle. Survivors include her husband, Peter O’Neal; two daughters, Trina (Barry) Robinson of Albany, Cynthia O’Neal of Hollywood, Fla.; three sons, Michael Glenn, Raymond (Deborah) O’Neal, Sharman (Celaya) O’Neal all of Thomasville; six grandchildren, Barry Robinson Jr., Brian Robinson, JaCorey O’Neal, Brandon O’Neal, Sharman O’Neal Jr., Brittney Marie O’Neal; four sisters, Gussie B. Vaughn, Alma Glenn, Marilyn (Rollie) Jordan all of Trenton, N.J., Lizzie (Marion) Lennon of Ocala, Fla.; two brothers, Solomon Glenn of Trenton, N.J., Ezekiel Glenn of Atlanta; a nephew who was raised as a brother, Elijah (Barbara) Glenn of Atlanta; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Julia Diggs, Adelle Nixon, Ardelle Clark, Phyllis Coleman, Carolyn Campbell and Althea Smith. She was preceded in death by a son, WIllie L. O’Neal; two sisters, Girlvester Ross, Arrie McNeil; and three brothers, Sylvester Glenn Jr., J.B. Glenn and Roosevelt Glenn. The viewing is from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m., until the funeral hour Saturday at the church. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
