Margaret King Norton

Services for Margaret King Norton, 80, of Boston, are 11 a.m., Tuesday at Boston Baptist Church. The Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate and interment is in Boston City Cemetery. Born March 2, 1928, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Clayborn W. and Ollie Pittman King. On Jan. 10, 1947, in Boston, she married Frank Lewis Norton, who preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 2008. She was a member of Boston Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, was the WMU leader and was active in the choir for many years. Mrs. Norton was a member of Georgia’s Sunbeams and Acteens, Georgia Homemaker Council, where she served as vice president in 1954 and president in 1974. She was also a district council leader and volunteer 4-H club leader for a number of years. Mrs. Norton died Aug. 2, 2008, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Irene N. and Frank Clark of Pittsburgh, Pa., Louise N. and Robert R. Parrish of Birmingham, Ala., Darlene N. and Jim Rayburn of Thomasville, Lisa N. and Jack Redfearn Jr. of Hartselle, Ala., Glenda N. and Hank Stringer of Thomasville and Rahn N. and Ralph Greene of Jacksonville, Fla.; granddaughters, Pam Clark Heyler and husband, Scott of Colorado Springs, Colo., Karen Clark Garrett and husband, Brad of Indianapolis, Ind., Kim Redfearn Jett and husband, Grady of Montgomery, Texas, Jennifer Stringer LaMarr and husband, Taron of Thomasville, Ashley Dukes of Thomasville, and Allison Rayburn of Thomasville; grandsons, Brian Parrish of Hoover, Ala., Chad Parrish and wife, Jennifer of Helena, Ala., Jeremy Rayburn and wife, Jennifer of Forsyth, William Rayburn of Valdosta, Daniel Redfearn of Hartselle, Ala., Robert Redfearn of Hartselle, Ala., Hal Stringer, Matt Dukes and Ben Stringer, all of Thomasville; seven great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; sister, Dorothy K. Davis of Thomasville; brothers, Clayborn W. King of Thomasville, George King of Thomasville and R. Michael King of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Pittman King. Kimberly Anne Thornton

Graveside services for Kimberly Anne Thornton, 32, of Thomasville, are 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jerry Ingle will officiate. Born June 5, 1976, in New Jersey, she was the loving daughter of Eugene and Mary Jane Limbeck-Crouse, who survive. On Dec. 20, 1997, she married Kenneth Lee Thornton, who survives. Mrs. Thornton died July 31, 2008, at her residence. Other survivors include a sister, Victoria Crouse of Sebastian, Fla.; and brother, Paul J. Crouse of Sebastian, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Drive, Thomasville, GA. 31757.
