Services for Charles Elbert Davis Jr., of Thomasville, are 2 p.m. today at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Darrel Owens will officiate and interment is in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Terry Davis, Chris Collier, Robert Davis, Scott Johnson, Tony Myers and Dewayne Taylor. Mr. Davis was born May 30, 1967, in Americus to parents Charles Elbert Davis Sr. and Brenda Lynn Davis, who both survive. He was a cook at Huddle House. Mr. Davis died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at his residence. Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Taylor and Dewayne; daughters, Kim Myers and Jessica Myers; sisters, Alesia Anderson and Juanita Shelnutt; and, brother Jacob Davis. — Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home
