Services for Virginia Young Tripp, 90, of Thomasville, are at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at the chapel of Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Clark will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are friends of the family. Mrs. Tripp died Oct. 28. Born Aug. 30, 1919, in Thomasville, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young. She was married to Chester Tripp who preceded her in death. She was employed by Flowers Baking Co., Archbold Hospital and Southwestern State Hospital and a member of Healing Temple Church. Survivors include a son, Chester Vickers of Jamaica, N.Y.; grandson, Chester Vickers Jr. of New York, N.Y.; granddaughter, Jocelyn Vickers of Atlanta; nephew, Ronald Lawson of New York, N.Y.; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. The viewing is from noon to 8:30 p.m., today at the funeral home. Friends will meet at noon on Wednesday at 505 Harris St. for the funeral lineup. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
