Wanda Gail Segura


THOMASVILLE — Funeral services for Wanda Gail Segura of Ochlocknee will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Rose City Church of God.  Rev. Gerald Horne and Jim Pearson will officiate services with interment to follow at Ochlocknee City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dustin Segura, Taylor Carr, Joshua Lewis, Jason Beck, Josh Baxter, Michael Edward Hall and Florencio Segura.  Mrs. Segura was born on May 28, 1950 in Americus to Cecil Pearson of Thomasville and the late Betty Jo Reddick Pearson.  During her life Mrs. Segura worked as a homemaker and on November 7, 1974 she wed Mr. Rito Segura, Jr. of Ochlocknee in Columbus.  Mrs. Segura was a member of Rose City of Church of God and she departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at her home.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her husband Rito Segura, Jr. of Ochlocknee; son Charles B. Lewis, Jr. (Kimberly) of Pelham; daughter Shan Beck (Jason)  of Panama City, FL; sons Rito “Monkey” Segura, III (Tracy) of Pelham and Jamie Marshburn of Kentucky; father Cecil Pearson of Thomasville; sixteen grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Bobby Jack Pearson of Anderson, AL and Jim Pearson of Thomasville; sister and best friend Mary Jane Baxter of Ochlocknee.  She was preceded in death by her mother Ova Lee Pearson and grandfather John Pearson.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
