Elnora Hadley Thomas

— Services for Elnora Hadley Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla., will be at 3 p.m., on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Gary Clark and church pastor, Rev. Dr. Emorye Virgil will be officiating. Active pallbearers will be Willard Thomas, Roderick Thomas, Lester Thomas, III., Andrew Stevens, Anfernee Chancey and George Thomas. Internment will be at Old Union Cemetery in Monticello, Fla. Thomas was the daughter of the late Eli and Mamie Reynolds Hadley and she attended Douglass High School. On Friday, March 28, 2014, Thomas passed away in Jacksonville, Fla. Survivors include son, Lester Thomas, Jr., of Jacksonville; daughter, Glenndell Thomas of Jacksonville; sister, Lillie Mae Brown of Thomasville; devoted goddaughter, Virginia Reed of Jacksonville; good friend, Juanita Green of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be Friday, April 4, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. The body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour with no viewing after the eulogy. —Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
