Rev. James Solomon ‘Buck’ Sapp Sr.

— Services for the Rev. James Solomon “Buck” Sapp  Sr., of 320 Bennett St., Pelham, Ga.,will be Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Summerhill Missionary Baptist, 301 Love St., Pelham. The Rev. Winfred Tyler and Minister Patrick Bowie will be officiating. Internment will follow in Pelham Memorial Gardens. James was born May 29, 1933, to the late Hope Sapp, Sr. and Mamie Troutman Sapp-Bush in Mitchell County, Ga. He was a member of Summerhill Missionary Baptist Church and the pastor of Brown Chapel Church in Camilla, Ga. James was an electrician for Coats & Clark until his retirement and was the owner of Sapp & Son Electrical. James passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014, at his home. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Fannie Ruth Sapp of Pelham; five children, Bernice (James) Sapp, Audrey L. Dennard (Ulysess), James S. Sapp, Jr. (Ramona), all of Pelham, Julie Jenkins ( Fredrick) of Thomasville; sisters-in-law, Daisy Mae Reddick of Camilla, Gladys Sapp of Jacksonville, Fla., Patricia Williams (Robert) of Decatur, Ga., Dorothy Bailey of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Delores Jones of Pelham; brothers-in-law, Herman (Ella Mae) Jones, Bobbie (Linda) Burrows, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., two special nephews, Hope Davenport, Sr. and John L. (Rosemary) Williams, Sr.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
