Patricia Copleston Zavaleta

— Patricia Copleston Zavaleta, 84, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., formerly of Thomasville, died Jan. 17, 2013. Patty was born on Jan. 28, 1928, in Charleston, S.C. She was the daughter of Mabel Goodwin and William Ortmann Copleston. She graduated from Catholic University in Wash. D.C., in 1950, with a degree in nursing. Patty was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Alberto A. Zavaleta; daughter, Linda; and son, Ricky. She is survived by three sons, David and his wife, Jennifer; Robert and Al, Jr. and his wife, Selena; sister, Jane C. Martin; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A service will be scheduled at a later date in Thomasville. Memorial contributions may be made to a local hospice of your choice. — James A. Mcalister Funerals & Cremation, Charleston, S.C
