— Services for Emma Lou Brown Suiter, 67, of Thomasville will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville. Pastor Dr. Donald D. Walker will officiate services with interment to follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Suiter was born on November 20, 1946 to the late Bill Brown and Essie Mae Akins Brown, Jr. of Thomasville. She attended the Susie H. Dunlap School and Douglass High School. Suiter was born in Thomasville, and moved to Philadelphia, Penn. and Camden N.J. in the early 60s before returning to Thomasville in the late sixties where she lived until her death. On February 14, 1966, Brown wed Zollie Suiter in Philadelphia. During her life, Suiter worked as a seamstress, CNA and as worker for Hershey’s Candy Company. She was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Suiter departed this life on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home. Survivors to cherish her memory include her husband, Zollie Suiter of Philadelphia, Penn.; sons, James Canty and Anthony Suiter both of Bradenton, Fla.; daughter Katherine Canty of Bradenton, Fla.; sister Mary Ann Jones of Hinesville; brother Bill Brown, III. of Graceville, Fla.; sisters, Essie Walker James, Pansy Brown Williams and Joanne Brown Young, all of Thomasville; aunts, Dora Lee Bush, Doris Akins and Mable Clark, all of Philadelphia, Penn.; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2013, from 12 noon until the funeral hour with no viewing following the eulogy. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
