Pauline Grant Kerbo

THOMASVILLE — Services for Pauline Grant Kerbo are at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. Luke C.M.E. Church. Pastor Anthony Choice will officiate. Mrs. Kerbo, the daughter of the late Clarence Grant and Eva L. Grant, was born on Nov. 22,1923, in Brooks County (Pavo), Ga. She confessed Christ at an early age at St. Luke C.M.E. Church where she served faithfully until her health began to fail. She served on the Stewardess Board and as the Mother of the Church. Pauline was a very caring and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and shared a willingness to be a role model for others. She took pride in leading others to Christ. Her passion for her family and friends showed in her smile. She loved church, garage sales and fishing. She will truly be missed by many. Pauline leaves to cherish her memories her 10 children, five sons, Charlie (Connie) Kerbo, John Kerbo,  Lester (Gail) Kerbo of Thomasville, Raymond Kerbo (New York), Clifford (Regina) Kerbo of Milledgeville; five daughters, Eva Greene, Jacqueline (Jessy) Lovett, Carolyn Simmons, Darlene (Mack) Booker and Tracey Grant all of Thomasville; 38 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Grant; father, Clarence Grant; two sisters, Evelyn Jones and Janie Tillman; one brother,  Robert Grant Sr.; two daughters, Mary Evelyn Kerbo, Ora L. Dennis; three sons, Tommy Kerbo, Ernest Kerbo and Moses Kerbo. She also leaves to cherish her memories numerous cousins, church family and friends. The public viewing is today from noon to 8 p.m. Family and friends will line up at 10 a.m., Saturday at 312 Fairfax St. — Hopkins Mortuary
