Michael Bland Lewis

THOMASVILLE — Michael Bland Lewis received his final reward of eternal peace on May 29, 2014, after a two-year illness. He was born on April 3, 1943, to Willard and Marion Lewis of Thomasville who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna of Cumming and their children, Jason and wife, Chandra of Mableton, Mark and wife, Jennifer of Canton, Jessica and husband, Ed Cox of San Diego, Calif. He also was Grandpa to his beloved grandchildren, Katherine Lewis, Caleb Lewis, Madison Lewis and was looking forward to welcoming Elli Cox this coming July. He was the oldest of five children and is survived by brothers, David Lewis and his wife, Kathy of Athens, Dudley Lewis and wife, Anne of Thomasville, Larry Lewis of Slidell, La.; a sister, Kathy Golden and husband, Chuck of Cairo; parents-in-law, Clyde and Ruth Weldon of Conyers; brother-in-law, Bill Weldon and wife, Cheryl of Snellville; three nieces; and five nephews. He touched many lives and will be missed by his many friends and especially his family whom he loved deeply and who loved him deeply. A private family memorial will be held.
