Jannie Lee White

THOMASVILLE — Funeral services for Evangelist Jannie Lee White, 75, of Boston will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. John A.M.E. Church, Boston.  Rev. Randolph Smith III, officiating, Rev. James Vance, Pastor with interment to follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mrs. White’s nephews and great-nephews.  Mrs. White was born on September 29, 1938 in Thomasville to the late Eugene Foster Williams and Lillie Mae Williams Daniels.  On December 19, 1978 she wed Mr. Atlas Williams in Fort Myers, FL.  She would go on to live in Boston, GA for 27 years where she was a member of Rosedale M.B. Church and the Mary Thompson Community Club.  Mrs. White was retired.  She departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital.  She leaves to cherish her living memory, her loving and devoted husband Mr. Atlas White; two daughters Angela Bree Thomas of Doulgas and Jauqar Levett Williams of Boston; sister Carine Cally Simmons; brother Garfield Marvin Williams (Felica) all of Fort Myers, FL; three brothers-in-law Hugh White (Maple) of Fort Myers, FL, Glenn White (Rita) of the Philippines and Dwight White of San Antonio, TX; five sisters-in-law Jean Johnson, Loreen Loggings (Harry), all of Fort Myers, FL, Freda Brooks of Monticello, FL, Arsenia Coleman (Robert) of Fort Myers, FL, Minnie White of Columbia, SC, Louvenie White of Ocilla; three grandsons Jessie, Sebastian, Shemar and one granddaughter Kenyatta.  A special nephew Minister Tyrone D. Thompson, Sr.; two special nieces Judy Meria Jones and Lilly Diane Robinson; a special daughter Joyce Hewitt and a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who will miss her greatly.  Public viewing will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
