Forris McKinney Warren

THOMASVILLE — Services for Forris McKinney Warren, 95, of Coolidge will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Coolidge Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Keown will officiate and interment is in Big Ochlocknee Cemetery. Mrs. Warren passed away April 14 at Camellia Gardens. Born February 12, 1919 in Hawkinsville, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry McKinney and Minnie Lenoria Marten McKinney. In 1944, she married William Warren who also preceded her in death. She lived and went to school most of her life in Thomas County and graduated from Pavo High School in May of 1939. She went to vocation school in Thomasville Technical School where she took 3 subjects, nursing assistant, business correspondence and typing. She loved nursing. Mrs. Warren was a member of Coolidge Baptist Church since 1944 where she taught sunday school, served one year as WMU Director, served several years as assistant clerk of church, loved children and always enjoyed what she did. Survivors include sons, Danny M. Warren and Tommy W. Warren both of Coolidge; grandchildren, Stephanie Warren Jones (Austin), Dawn Warren Smith (Jody), Shane Warren, Tommy Smith, and Cila Smith (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Vallie Smith, Reese Smith, Cameron Holloway and Payton Smith. She was preceded in death by grandson, Tim Warren and her brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
