THOMASVILLE — Graveside services for Charles Williams, 86, of Monticello, Fla., are 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Lee Waller will officiate. Born Nov. 27, 1927, in McRae, Ga., he was the son of the late John D. and Juanita Rogers Williams. He was married to Mary Pafford Williams, who preceded him in death. Mr. Williams managed Dixie Plantation for many years and retired from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. Other survivors include daughter, Carol and husband Phil Miller of Orange Park, Fla., Rebecca Rozar of Crawfordville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Nelson of Villa Rica, Ga. Mr. Williams will be especially missed by his four-legged best friend Missy. He was preceded in death by sons, Roger Williams and Richard Williams; brother, J. D.
