Willie Mae Brown

THOMASVILLE — Funeral services for Mother Willie Mae Brown, 101, of Cairo will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Cairo Church of God.  Rev. Dwayne Atkinson, Pastor, Rev. Timothy White, officiating services with interment to follow at at Cedar Springs Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Cory Corker, Amos Glenn, Gerald Goosby, Barnell Thomas, Tyrone Tyse, Sammy Gardner and Bobby Cleveland, Jr.  Mother Brown was born in Grady Co. to the late George and Minnie Ola Bannanmon Brown.  She was a member of Cedar Spring A.M.E. Church and attended Grady Co. Schools.  Mother Brown shared a union with Mr. John Wesley Gauldin until the time of his passing.  She departed this life on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.  Survivors to cherish her memory include her daughters Hanna Scott of Ocala, FL, Rev. Lucille Bowie and Elder Minnie Gauldin; son Jackie Lattimore (Carolyn) of Brooklyn, NY; daughter Cynthia Gurley of Cairo and Lucile D. Gordon of Cairo who she had motherly love for; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. — Weston’s Funeral Homea.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Cairo Church of God.  Rev.
