Charles Daniel Wilson

THOMASVILLE — Services for Charles Daniel Wilson, 79, from Thomasville will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday December 14, 2013 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Don Prevatt, Rev. Mitch Conner, Rev. Bobby L. Tidwell will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wilson passed away on December 11, 2013 at his residence. Pallbearers will be Allen Upton, Chad Fallin, Todd Fallin, Clifford Cooper, Clyde Cooper and Bill Gerber. Born February 21, 1934 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Herbert Brinson Wilson and Mayo Kersey Wilson.  Mr. Wilson was a Self-Empolyed Professional Painter and a member of Gatlin Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Shirley Marie Tidwell Wilson; daughters Marilyn Marie Wilson and husband Randy, Terry Lynn Powell, and Lisa Faye Wilson Duncan and husband Ricky all of Thomasville; grandchildren Carey Lovette, Christopher Daniel Duncan and Cassidy LaFaye Chandler, and husband Zachary; step grandchildren Shanell Roberts and husband Timothy and Amanda Owens and husband Jason; step great  grandchildren Christopher Gooshaw, Ciara Helton, and Dallas Helton; brothers James Wilson, Claude Wilson and wife Jackie, Elmer Wilson and wife Barbara, Emory Wilson and wife Pat, Gerald Wilson and wife Martha all of Thomasville; sister Vera Smith and husband Tommy; sister-in-law Hedy Wilson of Boston; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Brinson P. Wilson and Jack Wilson. Mr. Wilson's family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM.
